Which innovation has changed your life?

Almost every morning, I start my day the same way. I make a cup of tea, take a moment to wake up slowly, and before diving into my schedule, I always read the message on the tea bag tag. Every now and then, it gives me something to think about.

This morning, one question on the tea bag tag really stayed with me: “Which innovation has changed your life?”  The answer came to me immediately: BarTrack.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work on many innovations. Coming up with new ideas, developing products, and finding smarter ways of working has always been my greatest passion. Yet there is one innovation that has truly changed my life. Not just because BarTrack has become a successful platform, but because it genuinely helps so many people.

The greatest compliment we receive today isn't that we've built something technically impressive. It's hearing from users how much time they save, how much easier their work has become, and how enjoyable BarTrack is to use every day. In the end, that's what it's all about.

From day one, we've built BarTrack together—with colleagues, customers, partners, and suppliers. The best innovations are never created in isolation. They come from listening, sharing ideas, and taking small steps forward together every single day.

What makes this innovation especially meaningful to me is that technology is no longer holding innovation back. With many of the innovations I worked on in the past, technical limitations often stood in the way. We had plenty of great ideas, but the technology determined how quickly we could bring them to life. With the no-code platform on which BarTrack is built, that has completely changed. We no longer develop for our customers—we develop with them. New ideas can be designed, tested, and refined incredibly quickly, allowing new features to better reflect real-world needs and enabling us to innovate faster than ever before.

And honestly, I believe we're only just getting started.

The pace at which we're innovating today is already remarkable, but I believe it's only going to accelerate in the years ahead. Before long, our customers will be able to request the integrations they need simply by describing what they want. Our AI assistants will build the integration, test it together with the customer, and prepare everything for deployment. After one final review by our team, the integration can go live. It may sound ambitious, but I can already see it happening. In fact, we're well underway.

These are exciting developments—not because AI will replace people, but because it helps us collaborate even better. The expertise of our customers, the creativity of our team, and the capabilities of AI reinforce one another. Together, they enable us to innovate faster than ever before.

Looking back, BarTrack has truly changed my life. Every day, I get to work with a smile on a platform trusted by thousands of users. Together with an incredible team, we're continuously improving something that genuinely makes our customers' work easier. And perhaps that's the greatest innovation of all: technology that doesn't replace people, but empowers them to collaborate, innovate faster, and enjoy the journey even more.
